about.
A group of students at the University of Colorado Boulder have dedicated our educational careers to understanding the social, technical, and political spheres of the energy sector in order to ensure a more informed, thorough, and efficient approach to the de-carbonization of the American energy system.
This Policy Project aims to encompass a few of the issues that we believe must be at the forefront of our political attention as we progress in our transition to a clean energy society. This report is the culmination of each student’s individual expertise on energy topics, and includes the discussion of a multitude of issues, varying from grid infrastructure insecurity, microgrid and distributed energy resource policy, to intersectional energy justice and beyond.
This paper is the culmination of 17 students' hard work and passion for reshaping the United States' approach to energy. It is our hope that these chapters will help shape the future of our political climate, by removing the political polarization from energy policy to create a thoughtful and thorough policy climate.
We hope our carefully curated reports resonate with you as they have with us, and that they may be used to shape our country’s energy future.
